lndscpr Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 I just saw a front pto kit on ebay. It is in well used condition and the owner is starting the bidding at 200 DOLLARS. I am new to simplicity tractors and this forum so excuse my ignorance. Is this the going price for that kit? I could use it for my 3212h or 7114h and snowblower but have many other options to remove the snow at this point so i will not spend the $200. I was wondering if this is an example of prices being inflated on ebay or a good price for the item. regards, John
thedaddycat Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 John, I think that's rather high for an opening bid. I wouldn't expect it to even get that high at the end, but you never know... You don't need the front PTO for the 3212, it's made to use the blower hitch that has the clutch on the hitch.
lndscpr Posted November 7, 2003 Author Posted November 7, 2003 Thanks Daddycat. I will check it out. JC
Dutch Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 $200..... "going price?"...... "inflated?" Time will tell. If it sells, I guess that will answer the question. In all fairness to the seller, he claims the clutch is in good condition, and shipping is included. Would I pay $200? Maybe not today, but if I was snowed in and needed it to use my snowthrower................. I would have paid $200 for a pair of auger bearings last winter when I needed them. In fact, I did....... even after the snow melted.
SmilinSam Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 I have sold two Simplicity front PTO's on Ebay. Both complete, one NOS and the other used but good. Seems like the NOS one brought a little over $100 and the other was under $100. $200 is higher than average, but there are folks that will pay it I'm sure.
lndscpr Posted November 7, 2003 Author Posted November 7, 2003 Thanks again for the response. I buy and sell on ebay and sometimes am surprised at the prices. I know that if am patient I can find this part for a fraction of that price or free. 200 dollars is the amount I paid for my 3212H with a tiller, snowblower and dozer blade plus an extra rear end minus a few pulleys. jc
