maxtorman1234 Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 I was just wondering, Does anybody need a front PTO off a 712H? I dont have anything that is driven off the front PTO. I dont think i will ever use it, but im not sure if Ishould I keep it anyways. Right now i cant get it to disengage and it rattles. Would it be worth me keeping it? Thanks
UCD Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 It is one of those things that are hard to find. You might not need it right now but you never know down the road. If you get rid if it you will be kicking your self. One of the members had a duel right lift lever and sold it now he wishes he had it and can't find one.
maxtorman1234 Posted November 7, 2003 Author Posted November 7, 2003 Thanks, if its as useful as those right lift levers, ill definately keep it:) I bet those lift levers would be really handy. How much do those PTO's sell for?
fuzy Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 Many of the parts are no longer made so used is the only way to find one. Definately keep it. John
thedaddycat Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 I'd keep it, I looked for over a year and ended up buying a whole tractor with a blown engine in part because it had the front PTO... I've since found two more and I got them both. The snow blower and EZ Rake both use the front PTO. I'm not sure if there's anything else out there that would use it. The earlier tractors used a solid pulley and had the clutch on the hitch, so things like snow blowers and the B-1 fork lift would use the front PTO but wouldn't need the engine mounted PTO clutch....
