Hi everyone, Havent posted since may, been busy being laid off! Met a great tractor collector/parts seller who lives only 4 miles away and bought a 46" Sim. plow for 75$!! It has the spring forward design, and came with a hitch too!! Questions: The lift rod is on and in order to get it to reach the lifting arm I had to slide the stops, spring all the way forward to the end of the rod, only 1/2" sticking out. Is this right? I see from pics that there should be a few "extra" inches of rod past the arm hookup? This is a question because when the electric lift runs out of forward travel(click, click, click) it barley pushes the downpressure sping a 1/2" after the blade touch down. Is there a longer lift rod I need(read the art. on how to make one) After plow touchdown how much forward travel should there be to put pressure on the spring? Lastly can anyone post a pic (mabye measurments) on the rotating arm to pivot plow from the seat? He didnt have one and said I could make one. What size rod? Straight? Offset? Also there must be a bracket from the tractor frame to support the rod right? Thanks guys, I know a lot of questions for ya! Happy Sunday!! Forgot... I have a 7016H I believe with the quad headlights

MT I have a 46" plow for my 3012V. It came with a rigid lift rod. Of course the 3012 has manual lift only so no spring or collar. I just hold down pressure on it with my arm. If you think you need more travel, look up the "do it yourself" thread in Simpletractors and see the lift rod either Dutch or UCD shows how to make. You are right about the bracket for the angle adjust rod. On mine the bracket mounts on the grill support just below the headlight bracket. The length would not help cause your tractor is longer than mine but just measure it to come up beside the dash by the hydro lever. That seems to work well and not be in the way. 1/4" or 5/16" rod should work fine. It should be straight as possible with a 90deg angle on the end by the dash to grip and turn to release the blade latch. Hope this helps. Larry
