dirtsaver Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 It was such a nice day today I thought I'd try out the Big Ten I got a while back under a load and see what she'd do. This is with no weights and turf tires. This is how she was when I got her. This is the Big Ten and the early B-10. Yes that is a later style grill on the B-10 cause the original one was trash The B-10 needs the flywheel cleaned and a good cleaning and paint. The Big Ten runs good but smokes a bit and needs paint. Both need seats and Eva is working on sewing them up this winter. A lot of work ahead but it will be worth it when they are done. Larry
MPH Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Fine looking pair... How come you have your Ag tire on backwards??My 4040 manual shows the ag tire that way also..MPH
dirtsaver Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Marty I don't have a clue! That's how it was when I got it. Maybe a former owner wanted traction in both directions? At any rate, when she's down for the rebuild this winter I'm going to turn it around to match the left one that is on right. Larry
gregc Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Looks like you've got a good pair of work horses there.8D Maybe one of these days I'll find me a light bar and a front counter weight too.(I hope):p
dirtsaver Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Greg the light bar actually belongs on the Big Ten. I was checking to see if it would fit the B-10 so I could get a buddy to make another on for me. As for the front counter weight, I got it and a rear on with my 3012V along with two sets of rear wheel weights. Come to think of it, that plow came with the 3012V also. When you do find a front weight you will wonder how you managed without it. It makes lifting the plow effort less. Larry
dirtsaver Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Thanks for the comps everyone! The B-10 will be my first major rebuild and hopefully will be my "garage Queen" and show tractor when she's done. The Big Ten will get a good mechanical going over and quickie painting and be a drone Bee along with the 3012V. Larry
ehertzfeld Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Yeah very nice pair. dont know why you thing mine is in better shape. I just have new paint on the hood, fenders, and sides. the frame is original. gCaint wait to see the finished jobs. Elon
dirtsaver Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Thanks Elon! The fresh paint works wonders on your Landlord. I think all these tractors are perfect in the hands of those that appreciate them. Larry
