JimC_Vt Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 For you guys that are into painting your machines ,and who are novices at it ,I thought I'd let you know that the above mentioned chemical cleaner is great for removing wax and oil and grease from the metal surface before you paint it (prime it) ..... I have used it quite a bit lately on anything that is metal that I paint with excellent results .....but it is not cheap, $25.00 bucks a gallon... :( But theres no orange peel or paint not sticking issues so far ..... Good luck Jim
rjgoth Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Jim thanks for the product tip. Can you tell us where you can pick it up at? Ryan

DaleC Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 I joined the Dupont finishes web site and they have sent be a paint code for the imron in the yellow used on the B-12. I really want to use it. It is one tough paint and unaffected by degreasers and cleaners. It ALWAYS looks wet when clean.
rjgoth Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Dale, Would be able to get me a paint code for a 1966 Landlord? I am also interested in using that DuPont paint when I paint my Landlord. Do you have an idea on price also? Thanks, Ryan
