FrankP Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 I had some 140w Gear Lube that I used in my 1930 Model A Ford. That thicker lube stopped a leaky seal. However, you may want to stay with the 90w going in to the winter. just a thought. Frank
maxtorman1234 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 The manual for my 917 says to use the same oil for the hydro in the geabox. I tried this and found my seals really leak. If it leaks by the seals, why do they suggest this? I think I will switch it to 90wt gear oil though.
