dirtsaver Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Grahm I believe Wheel Horse used some Sunstrand hydros but I don't know if they are the same model. Most of the major manufacturers had propritary? components unlike the MTD made mowers of today. Larry
SmilinSam Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 The Wheel Horse Sundstrands are a different type. cub Cadet used one that is more similar, but not sure as to how much similar. I know they have the same pop up push valves as I have a habit of robbing them out of Cubs to use in Simplicity's. The Sundstrands in the Deere 140's may also be somewhat similar. Again, I don't know how much similar though.
MikeES Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 The JD 140 uses the same check valves as the Simplicity. I have used the Simplicity's valves in a JD. It instantly ran better, but the green paint faded very quickly after that.

wilm169 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 In my search for a vickers pump I was told the older ford jacobisen massy and some crafsman had the same unit, but I did not get around to check I found three old ac parts tractors tow of them were bad

rokon2813 Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Before I started paying attention to the vickers, I had a old red cub cadet and from what I remember the hydro looked pretty similar if not the same. Sad case of CRS I'm afraid.
