Waterman Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 I am browsing the "for sale" ads in our classifeds. Naturally, I'm watching for 720's and 9020's. I came across a photo from Sandy Lake Implement posted on 10/22/03. (Sorry, but I couldn't paste it :I)They call it a AC720 and it sure looks like one, but the hood says "Simplicity". Why would this be? ? john
MPH Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 My guess is its a 720 they got ahold of with a damaged hood and they had one around from a Simplicity. Don't think they have time to worry about paint jobs around there, we keep them too busy sending out parts...MPH
UCD Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 I was in there shop and Bill told me the person he got it from put the Simplicity decals on it.
Waterman Posted November 12, 2003 Author Posted November 12, 2003 That explains it. But it is kind of curious :). Were 9020's more expensive than 720's? john
Kent Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 They were about the same price as far as I can tell. The Allis models may have been a few $$ more, but not really enough to notice. For resale purposes, though, I think the Allis would be worth more because of it's name.... Painting the hood and putting Allis decals on it might make you a buck or two when it comes time to sell....
