mowerman1193 Posted November 14, 2003 Author Posted November 14, 2003 Thanks for all the compliments....Its been a long time collecting parts and all but I finally have most of it, now its work time:D quote:Originally posted by Kent Where'd you get your decals? It's looking GREAT! I had these made up at a local sign shop..I have posted in the past that I will sell these if anyone is interested..I have them for the Broadmoor 717 and 707 at this time...I hope to have them for the 9hp Landlords too but not till next fall probably..They are thermal-transfer decals instead of silk-screened(supposed to be better).. quote:Nice job with the restoration. What kind of paint did you use? I used Dupli Color Chevy Orange/Red #1627DE and Dupli Color Wimbledon White number T205...I am not sure if I would use the white again though...It does,nt spray very good and in my opinion is reduced with thinner to much (don't cover well and very runny)...I have one more rim to paint and the grille.I am going to try a nozzle from the chevy paint to see if that will help...
tomust Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Nice job Kevin!! Thats one sweet looking tractor!!! The paint on my 717 is almost done. Just waiting for a set of those great looking decals and I will post some pics soon. BTW I went with the chevy orange/red but the # was 1607 I also used the rusto. almond for the white. P.S. Thanks to Bill (WNC) for all his help with parts and advice, without him I would not be as far along as I am with this project. Thanks Bill

Tom I had to go look at my can of paint and I did use the 1607DE paint as well...Don't know why I was thinking 1627...I guess thats because the lighter orange is 1627... BTW,I just got home from sending your decals in the mail...I will PM you your tracking number and some tips on how to install them, or if you aren't ready how to store them until you are ready...Looking forward to seeing your tractor as well...
