One of my friends is looking for a tractor that has 4-wheel drive, has a front end loader and has 20 hp. I don't think Agco has anything like that so whats the next best way to go????

Agco 2000 or simplicity legacy has a 27hp 4wd coming out soon.I think the tractor alone with a 27hp kohler is around $9000 and I think the loader is around $3000.I would have to look in the book for exact prices.

I could check with my uncle on that one. He is the sales manager at our store. I didn't know they had something coming out. Thanks!!

Ken is correct it should be released in the next few months. I have a customer who is waiting for one. Just the tractor though he doesn't need the loader. They have been telling us maybe in December.

I do believe I'd go with Kabota diesels on this one. ( maybe even look at Russian builts ) In my way of thinking, you look at cost per pound to get all the offered equipment on an even scale. And then start to look at the way they are built. Things like the self supporting drive train, Much stronger wheels, Greater axle diameter and there is no doubt that the diesel should outlive the gas engine by a vast amount. The price per pound idea ? I sold a huge amount of BGB tractors for my boss by simply handing the shopper a shipping label with the weight on it, Giving them a price and telling them to go compair with the JD's, Cubs, Wheelhorse etc... Many times they would buy the Simplicity and make a remark about the price on a machine that weighed only 2/3rds.. I'd laugh and say something about the high price of all that green paint ! While weight don't always mean quality, staying with a company with a good track record is a help. And with all the Christmas tree farmers in the mountains around here that use Kabotas, I'd say they were a good bet. Can't think of a harder life on a tractor.

I reciently bought a Cub Cadet 7254 which is a 1600lb compact tractor with a 25hp gas Kawasaki liquid cooled with 2 range hydro drive and auto 4x4 and is rated 20hp at the cat 1 PTO. Best part, MADE IN USA, not just assembled in USA They are also available with a 26hp diesel and a 30hp turbo diesel. I had thought about the new Simp legacy, but that only has a 12" rear rim like the kubota BX22. This cub has 12" front rims and either 15" or 16" rear rims depending on tire type. Basically the same size machine as a powermax, you just sit up higher. My cost with freight from a dealer in Ohio to Long Island was $13,700 and that was with a quick detach loader and 60" mower deck. It's definetly worth a look in my opinion.

I just hope that the cub quality is still there considering MTD owns them. I have seen what they have done to other companies they have bought. I wonder if they will continue to leave cub alone.

I've heard Kubota is a good brand, I think we even use to sell them. I will tell him to check out the new tactor that Agco is making and then see what he wants to do. Thanks!!!

Agco sells a 25 HP diesel. The ST25. It is a full feature AG style tractor with 3-point, PTO ect. To view it go to AGCO Corporate website, click on products and then Compacts. You can get it in 4WD, loader option, belly mower, and many other attachments.

:DJack I thought you were selling Harleys now? I'm goin to tell Dick Roy!!! I don't think he has Allis anymore, mabey just parts. He is selling (sp)Mahindra, made in India. I looked fast at them, looked well build, but sure not an Allis.

Oh yess, the new 4wd are out. The local Massey dealer has three or four on his lot now. One with a Back hoe attach and a loader. What a beauty. Deutz made or imported a 4wd. I know where one is setting with a loader on it. 18hp diesel. If you want I can take some pictures and get a price for you.

Hey! Dale I have a Deutz/Allis 5215 HST w/4wd.I have been shopping around for a loader the one you spoke of is it original or aftermarket add-on? Eddy

I have seen an AC that i think is a model 7014. I'm guessing the Hp is 14-which doesn't meet what you spec'ed- but i could be wrong on that. I looks much like the Kubota 4wd 3 cyl diesels & might even be a 3 cyl diesel. I ve seen the Deck he uses & it looks just like the 48in deck i have on my 3212. I've know he has a front end loader on it too.

I am pretty sure that it is all the original equipment. I could be wrong. I will check it out next week and let you know. I am sure that the old guy will only sell it as a unit. I have tried to buy from him before and he is funny about the kind of thing.

Actually, the AGCO ST30 is my dream tractor. For now, I'll stick with my little 9020's.:D

Yes Paul, that ST30 is a good looking machine and I like the setup. Dreams that make you smile.

I stopped and looked at the Deutz-Allis 5215 HST. It has a DL1000 Kelly loader on it. The fellow was not around to ask about the price, but if anyone is interested, I will get that price for you. The same lot also has an Allis 5015 that is really pretty and clean.

I believe Woods is making some of the Cub attachments. At least the loader. My experience with Woods (backhoe on an Ingersoll) is that you can't stop it from digging. Real good products. I'm partial to the Cub 4x4 for several reasons.

Hey acjohn, You are the first person to post somthing positive back about my choice of the Cub, Thanks! I'm up to 20 hours on it and am quite pleased with it's performance so far. Loader has moved at least 25 yards of fill, and I have run a 54" Howse tiller turning an existing garden and busted virgin sod for another garden (both for neighbor) and I was really impressed with the torque out of that Kawasaki gas engine. Full 8" depth in a single pass in sod with no engine bogging. The only gripe I have is the hydro is whiny, but only at less than full throttle. Favorite thing is the hydro steering, one finger even with the bucket heaped over.

I have a Kubota B2400 (24hp-3cyl. diesel) with 60" deck, bagger, and loader. I have had the tractor for 8 years, and I only have added or change fluids. The deck mows very close to(but not quite) to a Simplicity Large Frame deck. The dealer gets some shop work from the Massys and New Holland (Boomer) they sell also, but none from the Kubotas. The Cub Cadet compact tractors where still Japanese built 2 years ago. They must have changed, this will be the first as all others are Asian built.

Mike, From what I understand Cub still imports several of the 7000 series machines from Japan, but the small frame series hydro machines 7252, 7254 gas engine, and 7264, 7304 Diesel tracotrs are USA machines with the exception of engines and the trans housing casting. My 7254 has a big USA sticker under the logo on the seat.
