country Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 These are decent machines. They have a nice, heavy, full length frame. Maybe not the best looking tractors though. This is probably 70's vintage. Find the model number. Then go to www.ariens.com. There is a "dealership search" tab. Find one you can e-mail, and ask away at the questions. I had one I wish I would have never torn down to repaint. It sat for about 5-6 years, and I just sold it, still partially diassembled. This has a 14 horse Kohler in it. Check the front axle pivot very good. This was a known weak spot. The axle tube is held in place via two bearings inside two aluminun housings. This area was known for wear. Never been fortunate enough to see one with a loader, but I would image with some customization, you could add a hydraulic cylinder to the loader. It this a hydro tractor? Does the loader run off of the hydro, or a seperate pump from the front of the tractor and it's own reservoir?
