MPH Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 In de-griming the Landlord I found a cream color on the grill, is this correct? KenK's almost looks to be chrome, The one on the 'New for '64' looks off white. Mine's broke in the top corners so I don't plan on doing extremes to it, just doing some rust killing mainly in the battery/gas tank area, and side panel on the battery side.MPH
Kent Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 My 2012 is the same "off-white" as the dash -- or appears to be through all the rust. It certainly wasn't chrome...
Tom_Byrne Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 From what I can see, from old brochures and what-not, the 64-65 Landlords had white on the bottom half of the grill and the top part, where the emblem is, was black. fron 66-67 it went to all white. My 67 2010 is all white, top and bottom half. Check it out:http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/new_in_1964/landlord.htm And the 66: http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/new_in_1966.htm
ReedS Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Marty, my 63/4? LL has an off white lower and a black upper also the upper section has a white piece of trim on it to finish the bottom edge. This appears to be original since from what I've seen, my tractor appears to be a very good mostly unrestored unit. The uprights are chrome if you couldn't tell by the pic. ;)
MPH Posted November 18, 2003 Author Posted November 18, 2003 hanks for the feedback. Guess I'll give it a shot of almond, clearcoat the uprights as they buffed off ok, hmmm all I got is BBQ black for the dash and side panel, guess NAPA make another 5 buck in the morning..MPH
