mhearts Posted November 19, 2003 Posted November 19, 2003 My 7790 Simplicity which I have owned for 1 year purrs like a kitten. Since graduating from many year of riding upon gear driven tractors(B1 and a B10) the Sundstrand hydro leaves me wondering if its in good working order. When I go up a hill fast the transmission kicks to a lower speed and pulls firmly at the much slower speed. Maybe this is normal operation and just takes some getting used to. I have recently changed the fluid and the filter. My question is what are the symtoms of a failing hydro?
UCD Posted November 19, 2003 Posted November 19, 2003 Clean and lube the linkage from the lever to the tranny making sure the rollers are working free. There has been a couple posts on this subject. Do a search on Sundstrand, Linkage, Slipping etc.
ambler Posted November 19, 2003 Posted November 19, 2003 Check the belt and whether the BGB is leaking on the belt.
