IronPony Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 What is the significants of the 2 digit number behind the choke plate and inside the carb on the carbs used on the K series Kohler motors? Some have #30 some have #26? I am selling one on eBay and two people have emailed asking this question. Dan There must be some significance for thses numbers. I just got another email asking me to check for that number. The carb I'm selling on eBay does not have a number inside the throat of the choke side of the carb.
rokon2813 Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 Dan I dont know exactly what the number means, unless its the bore size in millimeters like on motorcycles, but I do know the cub guys around here look for a cerain number Carter carb for the pullers because they can bore those carbs somewhere for higher performance.
powerking_one Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 Dan, That number is the bore size of the venturi (at it's smallest section), but I don't know if it sized in millimeters or 32nd's of an inch. I dont have a carb handy with a choke or thottle shaft out of it to confirm right now. Tom (PK)
