What is the significants of the 2 digit number behind the choke plate and inside the carb on the carbs used on the K series Kohler motors? Some have #30 some have #26? I am selling one on eBay and two people have emailed asking this question. Dan There must be some significance for thses numbers. I just got another email asking me to check for that number. The carb I'm selling on eBay does not have a number inside the throat of the choke side of the carb.

Dan I dont know exactly what the number means, unless its the bore size in millimeters like on motorcycles, but I do know the cub guys around here look for a cerain number Carter carb for the pullers because they can bore those carbs somewhere for higher performance.

Dan, That number is the bore size of the venturi (at it's smallest section), but I don't know if it sized in millimeters or 32nd's of an inch. I dont have a carb handy with a choke or thottle shaft out of it to confirm right now. Tom (PK)
