Got my blower and cart from John the other day and I'm installing it as I write. One problem...mower pulley that must be replaced with dual pulley doesn't want to let loose. I've soaked it with PB Blaster, still won't come off. What's my next option, heat from a propane torch??? I've tried prying with a large screw driver to no avail?? Help!!!! While I'm at it, the manual is a little fuzzy on how to take up excess slack in the drive belt. As usual what am I missing?? Thanks in advance Mike

Mike, One way to get the pulley off is to pull the arbor out and put a bolt in just before it bottoms on the pulley and hold the pulley in your hand and hit the bolt with a hammer. Many times we have gotten them loose that way. You could try heat but be careful not to heat the bearings. Is the belt you are asking about the one for the turbo? If so, I believe it is spring loaded all the time. Once you assemble it and install it the tension should be taken up by a spring. Let me know how it goes.
