Shuttle drive belts for AC 410

Recommended Posts

I just got a allis-chalmers 410 shuttle tractor from my fathers estate. I plan to keep it long term. Tractor serial number is 29901602. Currently I only have the tiller attachment. The hottest issue: I have the operators manual that came with it, but it doesn't list the belt sizes for the TWO shuttle drive belts. I'm surprised the manual doesn't have a parts diagram for the tractor. Can someone help me with the sizes of the the two shuttle drive belts? I'm suspect the current ones have stretched a lot and may make it hard for me to match the original size belt. ++++++++ The tractor is occasionally jerking while going forward and hestites or doesn't move when placed in reverse. It has gotten better since I cleaned off much of the grease in the transmission section. I'm hoping that new belts, new trans fluid, and adjusting the belts per the manual fixes the problem. thanks, Rich

Really adjust the tolerances for the belts critically. It makes a big difference. I've got both a hydro and a shuttle tractor. I still can't determine if one is better than the other. If you need info on how to adjust the belts, let me know and I'll email you a set of instructions.

This is a fantastic web site. Thanks for the belt sizes and parts list reference. the tractor is driving much better with belts adjusted and I'm looking forward to replacing brakes and other worn parts using the parts list. Hopefully I'll be able to get the electric clutch working again. When I turn it it isn't engaging and the light on the dash isn't coming on. Than to get a snow plow or snow blower soon.
