Fuel leak (Carb question)

I have an early big ten and it ran fine but when I shut it off it would drip fuel from the hole in the bottom of the carb in front of the air cleaner stud.I just rebuild the carb and it still does the same thing,is this common and what do you think I should do next. It runs awesome.

where did you mont the fuel line shut off? I mounted mine on the carb, removed fitting, put valve in place of fitting. I can reach and turn it from seat.

Mounted it inline, the muffler is right over the carb on this tractor and you would burn your hand if it were on the carb.
