L-head replacement with V-twin

I am probably thinking way ahead too far, but it would be nice to know for future reference what kind of mounting compatibility you have with the 16hp twin in my 6216 and the more recent V-twin engines. I am impressed with the superior engineering built into the V engines, pressurized lube system and overhead valves being the main advantages. Can I drop a 20 hp Briggs or Kohler into the same space without major problems? If the bolting patterns are similar and the shaft sizes mate up, I cant see much of a problem. I have no idea how many hours are on my twin now, it doesnt smoke but,the plugs are sooty and I dont know how well they cared for it.

Hi, We have done some of these, particularly the 5200. Vangard V twin. We are going to release a kit in the not too distant future. Merry Christmas, Al Eden

Thanks goatfarmer ,I'll be sure to use a hotter plug on it. Thanks for your suggestion. I will probably replace the twin with a V when the time comes.
