Simplicity 7 horse question

Recommended Posts

ROBBYDOB
This summer I pulled A B-110, a 700 and a 725 from a dilapidated (sp?) barn. The 700 leaks oil from behind the points, and I was wondering if there is more to it than a seal, or a gasket. Like possibly something worn on the block or points mechanism ?. Thanks in advance. Rob

Yup. There is a bushing there. Also a seal. The seal comes with new points. When you remove the points, you will see a square piece of metal through which the points mounting shaft protrudes. Remove that piece and the seal is right there. Pat

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
