what deck will fit

talked to my tractor connection today. he said the 738 will not take anything but the 36 inch deck. someone else told me there was a 42 that will fir. just curious. the pulleys are welded on mine and it will soon need bearing. thought i may build a 42 if possible before i have to buy three complete arbor assemblies, shafts and pulleys for mine. just checking.. badcars

As far as I know it will only take the 36in. or 32in. decks...If it was a couple years newer the Broadmoor added a couple inch's to the wheel base and they would take the 42in deck...This would be a system 5008 or 5010 or Allis models 608 or 610...

Yep, the 42 wont fit the shorter fame 738's. They did lengthen the frame(or at least the wheel base and hood) on the 5010's and also shortened to hanger on the decks to put it on the 5010's.
