I have an oportunity to buy a Sim. 3314H w/36" tiller but have not seen it as of yet. #1 question what era is it? #2 I know the hydrostatic drive is bad, how expensive is it to fix? #3 anybody want it? It is in Oregon and I could possible deliver to neighboring states if interested.

Don,
I think that the 3314H is a Mfg.# 990655 and has a Vickers hydro. If it has vertical, not radial, fins on the hydro it is a Vickers. Is the problem known to be the hydro itself or the transaxle? If it's definitely the hydro, you may want to pass on the tractor, unless it's very sharp or you want it to parts out. Parts for the Vickers are expensive and hard to find, if available. It can be repaired, it's just not easy or cheap.

Don, I happen to have a vickers hydro unit "in stock" if you need one. Please check axle tube for being broken by the differential as they are prone to break there. Also check hydraulic resevoir under seat for proper fluid level. There's really not much that goes wrong with these units. Good luck! dlc
