My tractor fanatic Uncle was visiting the other night and I showed him my Simplicity on the gallery (66 Landlord 101) He wants me to find out about similar clubs except with the focus on older model cub cadet tractors. Also interested in parts sites, engine distributors etc. Any info emailed would be appreciated. Joe Starkey JWS71@aol.com THANKS

OK - so there really are OTHER tractors out there! And I guess every tractor has its good points BUT we still get a better cut! :) [A href='http://www.ihcubcadet.com/']http://www.ihcubcadet.com/[/a]

I had a 1976 Cub Cadet (102 I think) the year before last. Worst thing I ever tried to mow with. No traction, hard steering, destroyed my lawn, hard to shift. The only good thing was the 10 hp Kohler (compared to the 7 1/4 hp B & S on my AC B-1). I sold it last year and have never been sorry to see it go. As daddy used to say "one man's treasure is another man's trash". Roy

Hey DLC - yes we do service and repair the older Cadets too. You have to respect any tractor that last 20-30 years or longer!

There is also a Cub Cadet club on Yahoo clubs at the URL below. That new bigger Cub with the Cat 0 hitch is a real nice machine. Might not give the Simplicity cut but it looks darn good and has a cup holder, what more could you ask for. But do they have the information and advice that you can find here? This is at least one place where those "green and yellow" guys can't claim that there's is better. They still Yahurl.... The Cub forum IS very good, but the other information available doesn't seem to compare. 8o)

That's because we have SuperTractorMan Kent - are you sure it's not really Clark Kent? Able to plow heavy snow, cut high grass and leap over hills..... :)
