Won't Start?????

I picked up a 3415H and it wouldn't start so I got it home and it didn't have any spark so I cleaned the points, It now has spark... It will not fire or run even if I put gas in the Cylinder... I went and put a New spark plug in it.... Still nothing.... It seems to have lots of compression... Anyone have an Idea??

I know with my 16HP Kohler, it had spark, and even when we put gas in the cylinder, it still would not start. Turns out the carb was plugged, seems strange, but we switched the carb, and it ran.

I agree with maxtorman on this one, engine requires oxygen which air has to build fire in the cylndar. Make sure the exhaust valve is not stuck. :D
