Here is the answer to "The tank behind the seat, whats that for?" question.

This is a Hydro Lift off an older 200 Series John Deere Garden tractor.

The pump is run off the bevel gear PTO side.

This was on the tractor when I bought it for $300.00 7 or 8 years ago.It is my main working tractor and has a twelve horse motor in it.

Did you have to give the allis anti rejection drugs seeing how it had JD parts transplanted into it?:) Hey if it works I'm all for it. A hydraulic system sure save wear and tear on your arm while using your tractor.

So those deeres are good for something? I like it, Looks great. How did he make the bracket to mount the pump? Do you think theres room under the fenders for a powersteering pump? I havent really looked, but I think it would be pretty close. Is that fuel filter made in canada? It looks exactly like the one that came on my 416. Tractor was made and sold in US, same place i bought it, but the filter was made in canada.

How many of those filters do you want? My local True Value hardware store has them hanging on the wall. They are advertised as Briggs & Stratton filters with the logo on the display rack.
