engine stand

For the verticals, I am using an old overhead projector cart with a hole in the top so I can set it level. Before the hole, I used my benchtop wiht two 4x4's to hold the engine upright. Otherwise I use the cart for all the horizontals. I like having the shelves underneath for the parts as I remove and clean them. The wheels lets me move outdoors when the weather is nice. My favorite place to work is outdoors for most of the year.

Here's a wooden stand made for vertical shaft engines. Handy as heck. Made mine from 3/4" plywood and it's almost 20 years old. The large hole allows to lay things in at all sorts of angles. If some on is interested PM me with your E-mail address and I'll fire you off a copy.
