Another paint question

Is the only difference between an AC 916 and a Simplicity 7116, the paint and decals? I really like the AC orange and realize I can paint it whatever color I wish. But if I repainted and rebadged my 7116, would it be a 916 or are there differences?

From what I know the decals, paint and serial # plate are the only different things. I also perfer the AC orange over the Simpliciy orange.

Decals are different tractor is the same. The MFG# is different

Didn't the 7116 have a B&S engine and the 916 have a Kohler K341? I'm just going from memory, so I'm probably wrong.

Dutch Guess what? You are right for the 16hp.

Not all 916 had K341s some had briggs.
