If you have ever seen one of these on this site they are kind of interesting. One sold within the last year on Ebay. Well I often wondered how they worked, if they were any good or are they just a collectible item because their unique and rare. Last week while out on a little road trip I stopped in at a tractor dealer ( Kubota's and Simplicity's ). My friend and myself knew we were just tire kicking and not serious about buying anything. While there I decided to grab the new Simplicity brochure and some other equipment brochures. When I looked thru two of the other brochures I was suprised to see they make a attachment for a larger tractor with a cat.1 3 point hitch that looks just like the Earthcavator. It appears to rotate just like it and is able to be used for different tasks. I was impressed with what I saw because obviously the Earthcavator design must work if they are still using it today on bigger tractors. When I get more time I will ad the names of the equipment and try to post pictures of them on here. I just thought I would share this because I found it very interesting that the old technology is still being used 30 or so years later. The names on the two different pieces of equipment are 1) Landpride Rollover Boxscraper ( model RO25 series ) 30 - 60 hp - 60",72" and 84", 2) Gill Heavy Duty Rollover ( model R25 ) 30 - 60 hp tractors.http://www.landpride.com/lp/products/bb_main.html

hi - i own a gannon earthcavator for my simplicity lanlord 101 - took me awhile to find one - really well built unit - works great - the biggest problem with it is simply the weight of it - almost impossible to lift it with the lift handle even with 2 hands - you really need either a hydro lift or front counter weights to compensate and make it possible to easily move the attachment up and down - good luck in ever finding one - ive only seen 2 or 3 in the years ive been around here - see ya

What a nice attachment for the back of the tractors we all have. Id sure like to get one of those for the 101. Thanks again Maynard for the most excellent resource link that you provided along with some good fun humor.
