808 GT Snowthrower Belt Tension

I have an 808GT and I have to believe something is missing to keep tension on the belt and to engage and disengage the snowthrower from rotating. Previous owner had the belt going from the engine stack pulley directly to the snowthrower (no tensioner). Any help at all would be appreciated. Jeff

Have you tried the Simplicity link for the attachment owner's manuals? Look on SimpletrACtors site. It's on the left side, click on the 'Manuals and Parts' link. You can download an Owner's Manual for the model 1690347 (Simplicity Model 6011, the equivilant to your 808GT), and there is a link for the Attachment Owner's Manual also. All for no charge. Tacey

Thanks a million for all the help. Now realize that the whole PTO group and hitch are missing. If anyone has one, I'd love to buy it. Thanks, Jeff
