Kohler Experts Needed

Recommended Posts

Since I recently acquired a Simplicity 7117 with the optional Kohler KT17 Series II ventilated block, I have been looking around for (relatively) inexpensive repair strategies. One discussion I found suggested that the Kohler Command M20 engine block was similar and could be used with many of the KT17 internal parts. Can anyone confirm this and give me an idea of what is interchangeable? Thanks in advance.

The KT17 and KT19 share many parts including the block/crankcase and bore size. The main difference is a longer stroke for the KT19 which means the crank and pistons are different.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
