Dan This is the rear lift that you need. The lift lever bracket part (s) on the one that you posted will work but does not have the bottom hole for the lift rod for a sleave hitch on your tractor. You would also need a sholdered set collar part (T) the set collars on the one you posted are both part (R).

Dan, I had one of those hitches on my AC716H for a while. I bent the rod into a z shape and went through the hole on the right side of the bgb. I then added a four inch piece of flat stock to attach the rod to the lift. It worked, but a cable would be easier to hook up. You can just hook a cable to that lift instead of the rod. You will need a bushing to use in the large hole of the hitch on the 712. The older hitch bars will not work with the 712 fenders.

I have used that lift on a 716H. I purchased the bushing ("T" in Maynard's diagram), from the Simplicity dealer. I made a cable,(1/4" cable, cable loops and cable clamps, double clamping on each end) and attached it to the lift with a turnbuckle for adjustment. I used two short pieces of 1/8" X 1" flat iron to attach the turnbuckle to the lift. For the pulley ("K" in Maynard's diagram), I simply used a cable pulley with the proper size reducer bushing. I made parts "AA" and "P", from 3/16" diameter round cold rolled. Can't post pictures since I have sold the tractor. It was pretty easy to do, but a little time consuming. I made a similar set-up for my uncle, member NorthTexasSwede. He lifts a Brinly disc with 200# of concrete weight and works well. Pat

I just bought the lift used from my local dealer ($60). It was on a 7012 but didn't have any implements. He asked what if the buyer wanted a lift and I replyed sell it to my new. I think new will run about $150 so don't overspend

Most likely the shaft hole in the AC 300, 400 series lift arm will be 1¼". The shaft hole size in the other model AC'c and all Simplicity's is 1". This is one of the things that was changed per Gov. regulations during 1972, 73, 74 to meet requirements for interchangeability of attachments to control market share. Another change was the wider hitch points the mower hitch and rear hitch.
