Anyone ever see this 2HP mower before?

The neighbor used this 50 years ago to pull behing a 2 horses. Used to mow the apple orchards with it. We plan on restoring her over the summer.

I love to see old farm machinery, it's simplicity of design and function is true art. Thanks for sharing it with us.

My dad has one, same model in working condition. It is used now as a lawn ornament, 3 years ago we used it, pulling it with a Simplicity :D

A friend of mine's father used one of those right until the day he died almost one year ago. Pulled it with a team of draft horses to mow a pasture and the side ditch along his property. Horses are a lot quieter and prettier to look at than tractors, but the backfire is much harsher! DaveM

Some of my firist 'field work' was riding on one like that as the operator befor dad got one that mounted on the tractor. Guess I'll leave my memories of it in the 'romantic' catagory

As my Dad always said the nice thing about a tractor you can turn them off and not have to feed them or clean up after them if they are not working.Bob
