More tiller stuff, B-210 to 400 series

Well, I have mine working great with one exeption. The drive engage/disengage on the tiller will not disengage the drive. I have used a 97 inch belt and it is a 21/32 belt. I have a feeling that I needed to use a 1/2 inch belt so that it would not grab in the front drive pulley. The rear pulley fits the 21/32 really well, but it rides high in the driver pulley. Any other thoughts?

Dunno if it applies, but a lesson learned from mine was that I had to use a guard/release bracket right beside the bevel gear box to keep the belt "confined" enough when clutched to where it wouldn't keep spinning. My drive pulley is 3" and the guard is a U-shaped piece about 4" tall sitting right beside the pulley. When the tiller drive is clutched, the belt relaxes and is held inside this 4" (approximate) guard. This puts enough "squeeze" on the belt so that it does not touch the drive pulley enough to move the belt.... Something like this may be needed for yours.... Just a thought!
