Homemade Box Blade

Spent yesturday welding up a new attachment. Had a local machine shop we deal with shear me a few pieces of .25" flat and added a cross frame and a old cutting edge I had laying around. So here's the result.

I had some basement drain problems back in the witer and had to tear up the front yard at the steepest part of the bank. I made this too help restore the yard to something presentable.

I had a lot of fun makeing it and even more useing it. What surprised me is just how good the 620 did pulling it up the steep bank with a full blade of dirt.:D

Ingenuity at it's best^! Now some paint & it will look great. I'm sure the 620 had no:D problem with it and the ag tires are a big plus for traction. Any fluid in the tires? What's the next project?

Rear tires are loaded. But I need to put the wheel weights off my 212 on it. Wheels still spin some when I mow. I'm preety hard on a tractor when I mow. No use sittin still, right? As for my next project, I was thinking of a mid-mount grader blade with independent lift cyl.'s like the big ones I used to operate. Alittle more ambitious but with the dual remotes on the 620 I think it's doable. Right now though I think I'll just clean up the shop.

Probably add some rippers to it when I get a chance. And some paint. Real busy here and project time is getting slim.[:0]

JJ, I live 1 mile off 801 N of the caution light, on Farmington RD. Stop by and say hey sometime. You'll know you're there when you see the bank bare where I've been playing.lol

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
