Hi all, i was just thinkin, seem's like there's a lot of us here that for one reason or another, make stuff to use with, or up grade our machines. so anyway my question is, what's your favorite home-made attachment & or upgrade ? Here's some of mine..no more ropes on my J/B works great!!

Homemade rake & rear weight mount, i think the weight mount is my favorite, its on the most.

I don't have any home-made attachments yet, but have been thinking about something like your rake. Do you have any details on how you fabricated that? (Haven't searched the forums yet, but I will). Nice work on all three of those upgrades.

I mounted a Sears Suburban snowblower onto my AC716H. I modified a Wheel Horse blade and lift mechanism to fit on any of my large frame tractors. I took a set of 6 inch wide wheels and widened them to 10.5 to mount 23x10.5x12 tires on. I mounted a 14 Hp Kohler on my 61 Wards (725), without hacking the sheetmetal or cutting a clearance hole in the frame. I guilt my own trailer. Built numerous weight racks for tractors while tractor pulling. Oh, yeah, I built two complete tractors from the ground up, powered by motorcycle engines to use for tractor pulling. I also built two trailers to haul tractors on. If I need it and don't have it, I build it.

I've not gotten so far, I like the yard rake or better I need a rake as large. I like the JBucket idea. My most used tools are the plow, 48"deck and the Tiller. I've saved $1550 so far and expect to save another $2000 this year verses paying someone to do all the work necessary. Then I am doing all the work... Nice tools all.

I like the stainless steel wheel adapters I made and mounted 17" eagle alloy rims for the back wheels on my B-12 but I also like the 1.5" thick stainless steel suite case weights I can mount on the front or back of the tractor.

I built a weight box that counter acts with the front attachments, a bucket for the front,( like the winch idea ) and I also built a grader blade, built the hitch by looking at a picture.

Eric, you have any pictures of how you 'winged it' to mount your rake? Still thinkin mine could use some fine tunning. Here what I did.

Can't say I a favorite of my different project creations, they're all the favorite one when its the one I need too get something done.

I dont know if this counts, but to run my 32" rototiller, I assembled a tractor from a B1 and a 710. I directly bolted the rear from the b1 to the 710. Shortened gearshift lever, made clutch work decent without modification. Need to hook up rear lift and make up some fenders. Took me 2 days, including putting the motor back in, and bolting everything in. Also using 1 1/2 hands. Im happy how quick it came together, now I still need to find the camera!B)

Two favorite mods to date: 1. Converting a B-210 10HP variable speed to "HB-216" 16HP hydro: http://simpletractors.com/do_it/variable_to_hydro.htm 2. Adding a sliding seat adjuster: http://simpletractors.com/do_it/adjustable_seat.htm One was a major upgrade in functionality and ease of use, and the other was a minor "touch" that quickly makes the tractor much more comfortable to use... One took a LOT of work/thought, while the other was a couple of hours....
