gearbox lube for kubota

I have a kubota b5200, my "big" tractor. I replaced a seal on the gearbox and refilled it with 90w. After mowing light grass the box is hot to the touch, wouldn't burn you but you it would hurt to keep your hand on it for more than 6 seconds or so. The bearings looked and felt smooth under rotation. Anyone know where there is a web site for the right lube, or does anyone happen to know what lube to use? Thanks, PM me

is the b5200 a hydrostat or a geared machine? I have a b7300 but it is a hydro. I can look in my owners manuel and let you know if that will help.

ok I still may be able to shed some light on the subject. I'll look at my manuels tomorrow and let you know if I come up with any info. that might help.

just went to the shop and got my manuels. the book says SAE 90 API GL5 gear oil-- thats on my RC54-24B 54" Belly Mower. Hope this helps. This is a 1997 year model by the way.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
