Ball Joints

No yukk-yuk about it. NO info with an off the wall question gets an off the wall answer. I don't know as of yet any of the guys that have a cystal ball and read minds. If you want a detailed accurate answer you should give the specifics. Name rank & serial number. Make model & application. Simplicity tractor 3210, Drag link ball joints. Ball Joint Part Number (164272) for 496, 497, 568 & 569 MSRP $25.96 Heim/ball joint/rod ends and bolts make excellent ball joints and tie rod ends and are alot cheaper than these joints. you should be able to make both joints for less than $10.00. Maynard's idea of using Heim joints is a very good one. If you use a large washer under the bolt head on the Heim joint, then even if it totally wears out, it cannot pop off the rod like the factory joint. I've had acouple factory ball joints (discount store brands) pop apart while using them.

Maynard,,, Sorry if I offended you by asking a question. I'm sorry if you were having a bad day, thats not my fault. I thought I was on a TRACTOR SITE. If I had the time to give serial #'s I would have. If you find my questions to far below you then don't answer them. :) I will check into the Heim Joints I'm sure I can make them work, better than OEM. THX ;)

To ask an intelegent comprehensible question requires some info so that question can be answered. And I am not haveing a bad day!!!!!!!!!!! there are many kinds of ball joints and many applications. Sorry I insulted you in asking you a stupid question as to what they were for. as I said before not many of the guys have cyrstal balls and are mind readers as to what you think you are talking about.

Interesting! Maynard, I went to the site you had mentioned earlier in this post and found what I needed. The site was so interesting I've bookmarked it! Thanks again for keeping me in mind. ;) Mouse, 8D

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
