Traded my 416 with no motor yesterday, a complete b1, but in rouch shape and in parts with a untested 12hp Kohler motor, and some 710 parts for the 912. I'ts hydrostatic, with electric lift, and has a 42" deck with new blades:). I didnt want to part with the 416, but I have 2 410S's now, and part of the 310V. I didn't have a 900, and wanted one, but that was the only way i could afford to get it. The 12HP motor seems to run ok, but has a loud rattle/knock type of sound. Not sure what it is, but I'll be putting the 16HP in it anyways. I'm happy with the tractor, and i'll get some pictures soon.

I also have a AC 912H. My AC 912H does not have electric lift. Mine still has the original seat with the AC decal on it.:D:D Looks like the rear tires were replaced at one time. My 12HP motor also has the same rattle/knock type of sound.:( Karl

Well, it sounds like the bgb is going too, someone has a grease fitting stuck on top. Got the 16HP motor in it, cut some grass using the same deck belt off the 917;) Glad things are working out ok so far, just have to see about the bgb, thanks for the replys

Definately go with the hydro lift, much easier to hook up and use, and you cant wreck it, or have bad connections. I'd go with a Kohler, because if they used them in the first place, they've gotta be good. And all my 7 Kohlers I have had, were good engines, and never had any trouble. I now have the 12 that knocks, but I have no idea how the other owners have used it, or what they did to it.
