free landlord 210

I bought my first used simplicity tractor last week and love it. It's a small 12hp w/ 36" deck. Today, a nsighbor offered to give me a 1965 Landlord 210 s/n 2635 for free. She said it has a broken crank shaft. The engine turns but acts as if there is no compression. How available are parts ?? Is this tractor a lost cause or should I take it ? I want to get in to restoring tractors as a hobby. Is this a good one ?? Thanks for any help. Patrick

Sure its a good tractor - how could you go wrong? Sounds like it has a broken connecting rod - the crank may still be salvageable. Time to take it apart and investigate - have fun!
