Why did Simplicity stop having the front of the crankshaft coming through the grill? OSHA? Tilt hood? Other? Seems like that was a handy feature.

I would think safety had something to do with it plus the fact that the bevel gear PTO works rather well.

Thanks Jeff, I agree, the bevel gear PTO does work very well. Still, it would be nice to have a "spinning nub" sticking out the front. I figured "safety" had something to do with it.
