Cutting quality STINKS

I just sharpened the blades on my 7012. On the first pass, I noticed the cut was worse than with the dull blades. You guessed it? I put the belt on wrong - even with the deck decal right in front of me. Now the grass looks like it was cut with scissors. So, for those who aren't getting that "Simplicity Cut," check your belt. It's easy to put on the wrong way.

One way to make sure is to see if "when" the blades are engaged and be carefull with this one-to see if indeed the air is being discharged out the chute if not then the belt is on wrong-oooh. Best to all, >>->happyjack<-<<

This seems to happen to me every time i have to remove the belt also. I always slowly engage the mower on my 3212's to see which way the blade rotation after I install the belt.

new simplicity owner picked up a model 700 to restore and wanted to get it in good working condition before i riped it apart. shaprened blades fabracated a tensioner for mower deck and still cut bad even in first gear. yesterday morning started to work on it again when i disengaged deck was looking in and noticed blades going backworks reattatched belt and cant belive just how good this machine cuts. bought it as a toy and a project but now im going to wait till mowing season is over to start.have a 14 hp case and this little guy puts it to shame
