Rear Mounted AC generator for B10

Recommended Posts

I have a belt driven 4kw Honda generator (motor threw rod) that I think could be configured as a rear mounted generator like the 2.5kw shown in the options area. Has anyone ever actually seen this Simplicity or Allis-Chalmers factory ac generator? I can only assume from the pictures on this site that it was powered off of the BGB, possibly from the pull start area. Any info on how the original generator was powered (belt arrangements)would be appreciated. Drawings would be really helpful if available. Thanks in advance, Lance Rumfield WD5KCX

Thanks Mack, looks good. Looks like it is being driven off the tiller drive side of the BGB. On mine, the output plugs, metering and circuit breakers are side situated so that it would work out best for me if I could drive it off the hand start side of the BGB. The mobile generator on the SimpleTractors site appears to be driven in this way. I am concerned as to how they modified the hand pull starter orginally if indeed this is how it was done. Thanks again Lance Rumfield WD5KCX

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
