Guest
It is amazing what adding 12 ounces of hydraulic oil can do for the system. Apparently the factory or the dealer, or both, did not fill the hydrostatic transmission completely. I noticed it was a little low so topped it up today. And, now the hydro lift operates quicker (without the slight delay it always had) and I think the loss of power assist on the steering when making quick turns is either gone or greatly reduced. The point is "do not assume the factory and dealer checked and filled everything up". Check it yourself. Roy
Al
Hi, It may have been up when it was set up and after it was run for a while a bunch of air worked out of the system and filter, then the reservoir would be low. Even in the factory these units only run for about a minute on a dyno on the line. Forward and reverse are checked and neutral set a quick engine check done and the engine oil pumped back out and down the line to heat shrink and through the shrink oven and crating.
