Spring Loaded Manual Lift Assist - Pics

Recommended Posts

Brent_Baumer
Had this idea awhile back and made a post about it. Mack pointed out there was/(is?) a kit available from Simplicity to do this very thing on the 7000/7100 series tractors. I decided to go ahead and spend about $8 on the materials and make one myself. The spring is shown with the implement in the "all the way up" position so there is very little tension on it in the photo. I didn't think of taking a pic with the implement down and spring extendend. It attaches where the cross shaft and lift shaft would for an electric or hydraulic lift. It requires 3 pieces of 1" angle iron, an 8 1/2" extension spring, a pin and a few nuts and bolts. Works pretty good too. Lightens the load of the snowblade I attached for testing but does not eliminate the load, just gives you some help.
