Soon I believe I will be needing a puller to pull of pullies and the steering wheel. As I do not have one does anyone have any reccomendations as to what I should look for when getting one, or things I should stay away from getting ? Sorry but I do not know anything about wheel pullers. Thnx.

I find I use my 3 legged one the most whenever it will fit the job, because its easier to get even pulling force. Sometimes the 2legged one is all that will fit, sometimes the 'steering wheel' puller is whats needed. For most pullies and tractor steering wheels, I recomend a three legger and don't buy an el cheapo, ain't no bargin.

Also get a bearing puller/bearing seperator. This should be use with a 2 or 3 jaw puller when pullind pullies and bearings. Also will work good pulling steering wheels. I bought a set of these pullers when Art recommended them to me and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They've done everything that I've wanted them to do. Just finished using one to pull my Yeoman 616 apart at the center pivot. It was frozen, but with penetrating oil and the puller I got it apart.

I bought a Set of the 3 jaw pullers from Homier tools they worked ok for pulling my Steering wheel on my B112... But they weren't strong enough to take the hub off my 101 there kind of light duty...

This is a better set up for pulling bearings and pullies also the steering wheels on these tractors it is a beam and bolt puller with bearing seperators. With this and a 2/3 jaw puller you should be able to pull any thing you have. Like everyone else said don't buy a real cheap one. I have a couple of pullers and one was a cheap one, a small one, well it worked a couple of times and then the threaded shaft stripped so now it's junk. I too use a larger three arm puller, you can change it and make a two arm one or flip the arms around for a different style. I don't know the brand, I bought it used at a flea market. It's definately worth getting something decent if you can. In addition to your puller or pullers you must have a spray can of PB BLASTER PENETRATING OIL. It works quite well. They sell that at Walmart and Napa auto parts. Good luck, Herm.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
