Hi, Just got home about an hour ago from The Simplicity Dealer Open House. Went up to Kohler for a couple of hours early and then to the Simplilcity Proving Grounds. All of Simplicity, Snapper, Giant Vac, and Ferris products were there for all to look at, feel and run. The back hoe on the Legacy works well, first time I have tried one. Also the new utility trucks, are nice. I ordered one last week with the built in generator. Finally got to see and drive what I was getting today. Everyone I talked to seems comfortable that the Briggs thing will be good. The general consensus is that the word that will "leave it alone" like they say they will and seem to have done with Generac. Since they have purchased Generac, it has been quite hands off, but they have provided capital for growth. Hope all are correct. Simplicity is absolutely the best company we deal with and would be the last we would ever give up. Hope Briggs learns some things from Simplicity also. Al Eden

Al, You mention a utility truck. Does Simplicity now have a version of a Gator or Mule? If not, what are you talking about. I looked at Simplicitymfg.com and did not see one on there. Thanks, Brent

I just looked on the Snapper web page. They have a Residential grounds keeping vehicle. When you check it out look at some of the other machines on that site, some look all too familair. Its a wonder what a paint color change can do.

Hmmmmm, that's news to me about a utility truck. Was just wondering if it is a "Simplicity" utility truck or the Snapper utility vehicle. I have to agree with Al, even though I'm not a dealer, I think Simplicity is the best company in the outdoor power equipment industry. I have been to John Deere dealers. They just about admitt Simplicity builds excellent products, but they won't come right out and say it.:)

I stopped in at the local dealers today. He said they are the Snappers with a few changes. Only 2wd models currently but they are working on a 4wd to compete with the Gator HPX's. Brent

HI, It is called a "Turf Crusier", built by Snapper. It has been significantly redisigned since the old Snapper truck. It will not have a Simplicity or Snapper label, but will be available from both dealers. There are 2 red models, I believe a Vangard 20 hp and 20 mph. One of the versions has a 1500 watt generator on the engine. This way you can run drills saws etc when you go out to the back 40. They are about the same size as a Gator. They have a tool box under the hood. Dump box. Look pretty good, I was not disappionted. The new larger Simplicity ZT, will have Ferris independent suspension. The company has had a record year and things are looking good for next year. The new tractors have a system that kills the engine when the mower is on and you back up. If you choose, you can turn another key and disable it until the deck is turned off or the tractor is shut off. If you have the kids mowing and want to eliminate the chance that they might back into a kid that might come in the yard and get their foot under the deck, you can just take the key out and they can't disable the safey thing. This meets the new CPSC safety requirements and allows flexibility with this system. I think it is the smartest way they could have approached this requirement. New v twin Vangard available in the Regents. Best of all was the Brat fry and the T shirt each person got for going to all of the various stations and trying out the different equipment. The T shirts have big Orange Legacy, with the words: Friends don't let friends drive Green tractors, with Green in Green letters. Neat. Al Eden

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
