AC 919H engine

Marshall, you are in luck. This is perhaps the easiest engine "swap" for any tractor here. All you really need to do is to 'short-block' your existing KT-19. All Kohler short-blocks for these are Series II engines, giving you full pressure lube and the cheapest possible upgrade. It's also possible to install a complete Magnum 20, but it's not worth the extra cost for one horsepower and slightly reduced maintenance requirements unless there are other problems with your engine. The next most difficult change would be to a Command V-twin (up to 25 horse), but you would likely encounter problems with bodywork, muffler, etc.

I am interested in a engine swap. I have a old twin 19 and would like to replace it with a 20hp or equal pressurised lube engine. Thanks

In our shop we have done several engine swaps in this family. Briggs vangard, Koh CH25, The easiest is the new Koh TOC overhead cam 18, Just use all of the parts from the new Sovereign. The Vangard and TOC both are footprint and crank cl. the same, base adaptor will make these very easy. Vangard needs a booster fan and adaptor to drive the driveshaft. Use Sunstar 18 muffler. Good luck. PS the new power steering kits fot this too. Al
