Was out driving my 620 in the yard tonight and the tractor shut off. I checked gas and added some more to tank as it was low.I chocked it severial times in between cranking over engine and it still wont start. I waited a hr and a half and tried again and engine still wont start. I pulled the plugs and plugs were dry .Any idea on what to do next? I am going to try to start engine tommorrow after work and if it still wont start i am puzzled on what the problem is. The tractor smelled like it was flooded so i dont know if there is something else going on or what when the tractor ran fine earlier when i got it out o drive around the yard. I hope somebody can please help me to get it running. All help will be appriated. AGCO918

When you had the plugs out did you check to see if it had fire? If not, check for voltage at the + side of the coil. It should be 12 volts. If yes, check for a shorted wire to the points box or bad points, If no voltage, check your switch and wireing. If it turns over you have juice to the switch so it's not the bat. or circut breaker. If you have fire then it's most lickly a fuel problem. Pull the line loose from the fuel pump going to the carb and see if it pumps when you turn over. DON'T check for fuel with the plugs out where they could spark and start a fire. This should get you in the ballpark towards the problem.

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
