Adapt older tiller to Conquest

I have been told by a dealer the older tillers cannot be adapted to hitch/operate on my 2002 Conquest 16?. Know I would need a 36" model to cover tracks. Have tools, mechanical ability (or so I think) and a machine shop close by for harder projects;). I owned JD for years but decided to purchased a new Conquest w/snow blade, 44" deck, and turbo bagger 1/03 b/c of what I thought was a tougher made machine (although perhaps not as refined as a deere). Now I am hooked and am looking for an older Simplicity or AC as a winter or 2 winter project (experience rebuilding JD 208. My priority is a tiller but I don't want to pay $1600 dealer asking price for a new one when I think I can purchase , rebuild, and adapt it for alot less. Thoughts?

One of the kits that you will need is Mfgr. No. 1686931 and there is another for the hitch that mounts on the tractor. Take the number and go here http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php and you can download the manual. All Prestige tractors are hydraulic lift. But the kits are for both the Prestige and the Conquest tractors. Also look at this post it has all the numbers that you will need http://simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=35635 .
