725 Put to the Test Again

Here some pics of my 725 plowing down my 2nd green manure barley crop the first weekend of Aug. My son was up for a 'short' visit so He took some inaction shots. Most of it was about 42 inches tall.

As you can see, the barley is just a bit taller then the 725

Claiming Victory

reseeded, which is now about 6 inches tall, and about all I'll get for A 3rd crop as it was 28 degrees this morning.

I'm a firm believer, 'There's no such thing as too much fun'. Only reason I can come up with for the better roll over after the first few passes is once I got on full length run I went from 1st to 2nd gear running about 3/4 open, then it burried real nice. Wide open in second seemed to fast for proper roll over. Does that make sence to any of you farmers?

Great job Marty! And yes, you can get too much ground speed when plowing and the cut will fall back instead of rolling over but I can't explain why. Man that sure looks like fun. I'm waiting to turn the sorghum till after it drys and the birds have eaten the seeds. Thats in the garden, but the plots over the hill I'm going to leave till spring for cover for thr birds.
