The hood and grill paint is that a gloss white or off white???? and can lacquer or emamal be put on top of the powder orange. I thank youall for the help you have given me on this project. oh i remember now the stipe was a decal / grill paint, but i cant find the decal so its going to be paint. JCB

It doesn't need to be buffed out so it is an enamel. It was originally an off white which Simplicity has available also.

I agree with Jeff. Simplicity never used a pure gloss white on the older modle Simplicity tractors. I would like to know what if anything you used to mask off the "Simplicity" word on the side of the dash, and is it a black or white dash? How much was the paint so I can repaint one of my Broadmoors? Thanks a lot.

Black dash, paint was $8.?? a can but you can mail order for about $6.00 a can.I pulled the engine and painted the frame rear.hood, and deck. it took 4 cans.I masked off the simplicity decal on the side about 11/4 by 5 or 6"/ I then sprade the dash gloss black then remove the tape and sprade clear over everything. the clear brought back the shine around and on the simplicity decal and blended it all in. I haven't done the grill or stripe yet.Hope this helps you. JCB

Were you able to locate any of the decals? I have a '64 Broadmoor that I'm going to be restoring soon. The hood stripe is there (painted over), the grill decal is there and in good shape, the broadmoor decal behind the seat is there but painted over, and I believe the dash side decals are gone. I may have to stip the paint off gently to get to the decals if I can't find any. Thanks Paul
